Moody this Spring?

Many of you know that last summer I started taking classes at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Although I am officially enrolled in the MDiv program I do not expect to complete the degree anytime soon. At my current pace, it will take ten years! I'm considering postponing classes until we complete the adoption process, primarily because of finances and the unknown departure date.

Do you have any thoughts on this? I've enabled anonymous posting to encourage more feedback. Many thanks.

Whoa, thought at first you had some thoughts on weather-related depression/mood swings or something. I trust that you'll count the costs before making any final decisions.

We have postponed some things in our life due to the adoption process. It just requires so much time, effort, energy, and yes, money! And especially once it's time to travel and then bring our children home... We just feel like that has to take priority right now. We believe God will bless that decision in our life.

Not saying necessarily that what was right for us is right for you, but just wanted to share...

I've had this feeling since last semester, but it's nice to see affirmation of this from others. Thank you.

Courtney, once you bring home your child, you will want to spend as much time with her as you can. Why not continue this spring and then take some time off. It might help with the waiting process. I know for our family, we continued with "normal" activities, because we know so much will change once our daughter is here physically with us. Pray and be open to where God is leading you tho. Don't be hasty. Sally
